    This is the first screen users see when opening the app, setting a good first impression is crucial.

    This screen went through multiple rounds of A/B testing - mainly testing the background and button shapes/sizes.

    SAIL’s sign in screen is simple, clean and accessibility-friendly.

    The create account screen is designed to be quick and easy. When sign up takes too long, users grow disinterested.

Land Tab

  • Land Tab

    The Land tab offers all the various weather data for and inland destinations.

  • 10-Day Forecast Pop-Up

    This pop-up is specific to the Land tab, showing high/lows, a weather description and chance of rain percentage.

  • Rain Pop-Up

    Rain pop-up. shows a rain radar, 10-day rain forecast, current chance of rain an humidity percentage.

  • Wind Pop-Up

    The wind pop-up displays the gusts, wind direction, wind speed and what the temperature feels like outside.

Water Tab

  • Water Tab

    The Water tab offers all things. water, sea temperature, wind, rain, etc.

    This pop-up is specific to the Water tab, showing high/lows, a weather description and chance of rain percentage.

    This pop-up allows for parents and friends, alike, to be able to look up hospitals quickly and efficiently in an emergency.

    Safety tips may seem like common sense but a reminder of these safety recommendations can help keep everybody safe.

“Throughout this project, the importance of research and testing was clear. I would have loved to have had more time for more in-depth research on a more national, even global scale. I learned the value of A/B testing and testing and retesting until consistent results are found. I was not able to do A/B testing for all of my screens, but in the future, that would be a fun exercise!

In the next iteration of Sail, I hope to streamline design even further, simplifying the user experience even more, designing home screen widgets for Apple iOS.“
